A PHOTO BOOK PUBLISHING THE RAW ENERGY OF THE BERLIN TECHNO SCENE 90's

Author Tilman Brembs has put together an impressive photo collection over the years.

A resident of Berlin since 1984, Tilman Brembs has published an extensive 185-page limited-edition photo book titled Over Rainbows | Time Machine Book, which records the development of the early techno scene in Berlin.

From 1991 to 1997, Brembs used film photography to document the artistic nature, lifestyle and music production of Berlin's nightlife while working for Tresor and Frontpage, the techno magazine that was then published. The book, with a brief synopsis, was presented by Mark Reeder while the graphic design was signed by Alexander Branczyk, and interestingly, it contains as many as 20,000 analog photographs.

The book is opened by Warhol's quote, which describes Brembs's view of his work: "The best thing about the painting is that it never changes, even when people in it do it."
